Rhyme Time

This class is part of the ERF Projects course series and will take place on February 05, 2010.

Rhyming is one type of phonological awareness that is often neglected, but it’s very important.  In fact, studies indicate that children who are taught to rhyme often do well in reading.  Children who are struggling with reading often cannot rhyme.  Being able to differentiate words that rhyme is a critical part of the process of developing reading skills.  Teachers will learn strategies that enable them to incorporate rhyming activities into their daily schedule.
