During the Mentor Conference opportunities were discussed for meeting the Head Start Reauthorization requirments which states that 50% of all lead teachers must have an associate degree. Several participants were in a dilemma regarding a diploma from Flint River Tech which they thought would not articulate into a potential associate degree from a two-year college.
After some investigating, I discovered that Flint River DOES have an articulation agreement with Gordon College. If you receive a diploma in Child Development from Flint River, Gordon College will honor it and with around 5 additional courses will award an associate of applied science.
